ABOUT THE CONFERENCE-
Over the last few decades socio economic development of the world has led to increasing unfavourable climate changes and natural disaster and also wars, political and socio-economic instability. This endangering the existence of not only human life but mother nature for current as well as future generation. Therefore, the world today needs sufficient and efficient management of resources so that the process of development meets the need of present generation without jeopardizing the future generation to meet their own needs. The essence of sustainable development is based on the balanced between the three pillars of sustainability-environmental sustainability, social sustainability and economic sustainability.
In this regard The United Nations has set in motion a historic plan – 17 Sustainable Development Goals which aims to build a more prosperous, more equal, and more secure world by the year 2030.
The aim of the conference is to provoke a thought process that in turn will help to design policy frameworks so as to build a more integrated and secure world based on the concept of sustainable development.
